"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)God is the creator of everything, He is the author of the history of universe, and He is the only way to have a blessed new year.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, "says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8). God holds our past, present, and our future. He is our true hope for this new year.
So, "Let is fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2).
